Alexander Isak scored the only goal for Arsenal against Newcastle at St James’ Park, with a header in the 12th minute. Despite a strong start, Arsenal struggled after Isak’s goal and lacked creativity. Mikel Arteta made changes, but Arsenal only managed one shot on target. The victory for Newcastle moves them to eighth place, while Arsenal drops to 5th position behind Nottn Forest and Chelsea on third and fouth position respectively.

Bournemouth ended Man City’s 32-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League. Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson scored the goals that sealed Bournemouth’s win. Pep Guardiola’s City suffered their second defeat in four days after Tottenham eliminated them from the Carabao Cup. Bournemouth dominated the game from the start, with Ederson making a double save early on. Semenyo opened the scoring in the ninth minute, and Evanilson later doubled the lead. Despite a late goal from Josko Gvardiol, City couldn’t engineer a comeback.

Nottingham maintained their impressive run with a three-nil thrashing of West Ham, while Southampton secured its first win of the season with a one-goal victory over Everton

Liverpool overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Brighton and claim the top spot in the Premier League.  Cody Gakpo’s equalizer and Mohamed Salah’s stunning goal secured the victory. Brighton played well but Liverpool’s impressive comeback silenced the visitors and delighted the home crowd.

Dominic Solanke scored two goals as Tottenham came from behind to defeat Aston Villa in the Premier League. The £65m signing doubled his season’s league goals in just four minutes, lifting the ball over Martinez and slotting in from Richarlison’s pass. Despite Villa’s early lead from Morgan Rogers, Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson and James Maddison secured the win. The victory brought Spurs up to seventh place in the table, cutting the gap to the top four.

Moises Caicedo’s volley earned Chelsea a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford as they drew. United, under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, initially led when Bruno Fernandes scored from a penalty. However, Caicedo equalized with a superb shot, securing the draw.
