Cristiano Ronaldo has been diagnosed with a viral infection, causing him to miss Al Nassr’s match against Al Shorta in the Asian Champions League.   The team’s captain did not travel with the squad to Baghdad, and will remain at home to rest as advised by the club’s doctor. Al Nassr managed a 1-1 draw in Ronaldo’s absence, with Sultan Al Ghannam scoring the opening goal with an assist from Otavio. Despite joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has yet to win a major trophy with the Saudi club. Wishing him a speedy recovery, the team hopes to have their captain back on the field soon to lead them to victory.
